Royce's 70 Camaro

Royce's 70 Camaro

Royce built this Beautiful 1970 from the ground up at home, it was pulled from a field after paying $600 for it. I have owned the car for 7 years. It is powered by a 388ci small block Chevy 8.47:1 compression, Dart Pro 1 Heads (215cc runners, chambers massaged to 75cc), Wiseco forged dished pistons, 6" H-Beam rods, Engle Racing camshaft (solid flat tappet) custom ground, Kevco oil pan, 8-71 Don Hampton blower 10% underdriven, two Holley 750 DP blower carbs. This is backed by a 3500 PTS custom converter, th400 trans (home built) with a Gear Vendors overdrive unit, 4.10 rear gears in a 8.5" 10 bolt rear end. The rear end (also home built) has Moser axles, a Lock Right locker, ARP cap studs, tubes welded to the center section, TA aluminum cover with bearing supports. HAL rear coil overs 12 way adjustable, home made traction bars. Royce haven't made a pass since I built this engine. It went 11.90 on street tires with the previous hydraulic flat tappet, naturally aspirated engine (385ci). Hoping to be deep in the 10's with the current set-up. Email Royce

Tony bought this 1967 Camaro in 1976 when he was 19 and in the army stationed in Hawaii. He has been working on her ever since. The car came with a 327 which is in the back of Tony’s garage. He put a 350 in temporally which was 8 years ago. Tony has done a lot of work to his car like: replaced the floor and trunk boards, front suspension, front disc brakes, replaced gas tank, leaf springs, and also took the rear apart had it media blasted and painted adding a 4:10 limited slip, the Trany is a 4-speed Borg Warner T-10.
