UPDATED 4/3/02
I have a certificate of authenticity from the COPO connection, Stating the car is a COPO#9561 L-72.
Bought new at Scuncio Chevrolet in R.I. This 1969 COPO Camaro was a limited production vehicle,
equipped from the factory with COPO9561, a Special Performance Package including an L-72 427-425HP Engine, Special Ducted Hood, Duel Exhaust System, Increased Cooling Capacity, and Special Suspension. It was specifically engineered for Drag Race Competition. Options were tuxedo black, black standard 711 interior, 4 speed, and radio delete. The car only has 10k miles on it, and does not have the original motor, trans, or rearend. However it does have a 427w/aluminum heads, jerico 4spd,and 12 bolt rear with 5:13 gears. The body is all-original, the only patch is about 1 inch square at the bottom of one fender. Interior is all original except for the carpet. I have traced this car back to the original owner. I am the 4th owner, and have owned it since 1982.I occasionally race the car in the DOT street tire class, and have run as quick as 11.17@119 mph.through the mufflers shifting at 7k rpm.Car with driver weighs 3670 lbs.
